| Fast shipping and works great, have owned for 6 months now and use it with my Netbook. It will transfer My blu-ray collection to my external hard drive for my movie room no problem, reads very well and writes DVD's well too. Just make sure to plug in the power usb first then the usb data cable, computer blacks out any other way. |
Add External Power

In my first review I noted that this unit would not play blu-ray disks
but played dvd nicely by simply connecting a USB. I added 5V 1.9 amps to the unit, and it now plays blu ray nicely. In short it appears underpowed for blu ray through usb only. |
It works, but barely

| First off i had to buy a $100 program (powerdvd) so that it would play blu-rays and i just assumed that a program like that would have come with the player. Second i am using it on my laptop and it will only play through my laptop speakers. Third to get it to work i have to unplug all accessories from the usb port and plug in the blu ray drive first |
bluray is not meant to go through usb
